Project
Neptunus successfully completed a 72K major overhaul of a Wartsila W8L26A main engine onboard an Multi-Purpose Construction Vessel (MPCV) operating in Mexico. The overhaul was carried out after the engine completed approximately 76,491 running hours to restore operational reliability, improve performance, and ensure safe long-term operation.
The scope included complete dismantling, inspection, calibration, servicing, and reassembly of major engine systems in accordance with OEM procedures. Critical components such as cylinder heads, pistons, connecting rods, cylinder liners, crankshaft bearings, fuel injection systems, lubrication systems, cooling systems, and camshaft assemblies were overhauled and calibrated.
Following completion of the overhaul, successful load trials were conducted, and all engine operating parameters, including temperatures, pressures, vibration levels, and exhaust gas readings, were found within acceptable limits, confirming stable engine performance.Neptunus successfully completed the 72K major overhaul of the Wartsila W8L26A main engine in Mexico with successful restoration of engine reliability and operational stability. Through systematic inspection, precision calibration, component renewal, and strict adherence to OEM procedures, the engine was returned to service with stable operating performance.
This project demonstrates Neptunus expertise in delivering complex marine main engine overhaul services for offshore and marine applications.Leave a Reply
