Project
Neptunus successfully completed a 24K major overhaul of a Niigata 8L28HX main engine onboard an offshore supply vessel operating in Ghana. The overhaul was carried out after approximately 46,323 running hours to restore engine reliability, improve operational efficiency, and ensure safe long-term engine performance.
The overhaul scope included dismantling, inspection, cleaning, calibration, servicing, renewal, and reassembly of major engine components in accordance with OEM procedures. Critical systems including cylinder heads, pistons, connecting rods, cylinder liners, crankshaft assemblies, fuel injection systems, valve mechanisms, cooling systems, lubrication systems, and auxiliary equipment were overhauled and inspected thoroughly.
Following completion of the overhaul, successful engine trials and operational safety checks were conducted. All operational parameters, including lube oil pressure, cooling water temperature, fuel injection performance, exhaust gas temperature, and crankshaft condition, were found within acceptable operating limits, confirming stable engine performance.Neptunus successfully completed the 24K major overhaul of the Niigata 8L28HX main engine onboard an offshore supply vessel operating in Ghana. Through systematic dismantling, inspection, precision calibration, component renewal, and strict adherence to OEM procedures, the engine was restored to stable and reliable operating condition.
