What is INMARCO?
INMARCO 2022 in India is an International Maritime Conference held every 4 years (quadrennial), hosted by the Institute of Marine Engineers (Mumbai, Navi Mumbai, and Gujarat). It’s a platform to showcase the prowess of maritime India to the global maritime community.
Since its inception, INMARCO has always witnessed an overwhelming response from the maritime community.
32 Technical papers, 06 Student Papers, 08 Student models have been shortlisted for the event. Papers are invited from Engineers, Manufacturers, Designers, Shipbuilders, Operators, Students, Educators, Researchers, Recyclers, Adjudicators, Salvors and other Maritime related stakeholders
What is the theme for INMARCO 2022?
The Theme for INMARCO 2022 is “Evolving Maritime World For Greener And Sustainable Future”
We are going to be participating for the first time in a Defence Exhibition at this year’s DefExpo 2022 Gandhinagar, Gujarat.

What is the objective of INMARCO 2022?
The objective of the INMARCO 2022 Conclave is to help India stand on the following:
- Decarbonisation target for Indian domestic shipping.
- Identify suitable fuel and technologies for various types of domestic ships.
- Explore the possibilities for India to become an international bunker hub for green marine fuels.
- Construction of green ships in India and development and fitment of alternative fuel technologies on existing Indian ships.
- Policies for transition of domestic shipping to green including incentives, financial solutions etc.
- Green ports through JIT, Shore power, and Green Bunkering infrastructure and Green corridors.
- India’s positions at IMO on Decarbonisation, including on issues related to MBM, GHG ambition, intermediate reduction targets etc.

- 16 technical papers presented by stalwarts from Classification Societies, Indian Navy, Indian Coast Guard, Training Institutes, IT Companies.
- Panel discussions where stalwarts of the Industry dwell on Green Ports, Port Infrastructure, Bunkering and Supply of Alternative Fuels including discussion on Maritime Policies, Development of Marine Infrastructure for Inland Waterways and Coastal Shipping.
- Motivational session by Swami Sukhabodhananda
